Adventure Education

Philosophy

“[Adventure Education is] a branch of outdoor education concerned with facilitating both intrapersonal and interpersonal development among program participants” (Martin et al., 2017)

Camp Hebron’s adventure program is primarily developmental, meaning we see adventure as a tool to aid in the growth of our guests. Our adventure education programming strives to live out the mission of Camp Hebron: “To cultivate a sanctuary where people connect with God, nature and each other.” We do this through intentionally  designing each experience with specific guest goals in mind. We boast a robust adventure program ranging from on-site experiences on our climbing wall or challenge course to epic off-site canoeing, caving, and rock climbing trips. We offer something for everyone, from our one to three hour workshops to our nine month Guide Program.
