Oliver Thompson           Youth & Adventure Program Manager

Oliver has been a part of camping ministry ever since he can remember. He has served as a summer staff member to his home-town camp Scioto Hills in Ohio, as well as becoming the program director of Cooperstown Bible Camp in North Dakota in 2013. Oliver grew up with camp being a large part of his spiritual development and knew from a young age that he wanted to serve in camp ministry.

Oliver went to Cedarville University near Dayton Ohio, which is where he met his fiancee Cree, who was raised in Chester County. Instead of taking a normal geology class, they both decided to fulfill their credits by traveling through National Parks for two weeks in a small van with a couple of other students and a professor. Because of this experience, they become fast friends.  They continued their friendship over the course of a few years, with Cree even traveling out to North Dakota one summer to work on staff.  In August they decided to start dating and by Thanksgiving were engaged.

They plan on getting married in October in Valley Forge National Park. They are both so excited that God has brought them both to Camp Hebron, as they wanted to pursue camp ministry together. Oliver is thrilled to be the new Youth and Adventure Program Director and Cree is excited to be working part-time in the office. It is their passion to serve God in such an incredible ministry such as Camp Hebron. They look forward to building lasting relationships with both staff and visitors. Their ultimate desire is to see the Gospel presented to everyone that comes to Camp Hebron and that they can continue to cultivate a sanctuary that God uses to bring people to Himself!
