When asked to share my story of how Camp Hebron has impacted me, the first thought that came to mind was how grateful I am. Camp has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember in a variety of different ways. My dad led the drama portion of Worship Arts Camp since I was born, so I got to come to camp with my family for that week every summer. Later, I began coming for both that week as well as on my own for another week of camp. When I was in middle school and high school, my dad worked as the Summer Staff Pastor at Camp Hebron for the summer, meaning that I got to spend the entire summer at my favorite place. Finally, this past summer, I worked on summer staff.

I am beyond thankful for the many adventures, laughter, and good conversations that have occurred at camp. I am thankful for the memories, and incredible friendships that have been made. I am thankful for the ways that camp has influenced my character and the person I have become, as well as continued to shape and form my faith and relationship with our awesome God. I can’t put into words how grateful I am to the counselors and other summer staff who made my camp experience unforgettable as a child; and I can’t express my gratitude to my campers this past summer who taught me so much about pure joy and real love.

Camp Hebron has become a place that I consider a “second home,” and it will forever hold a special place in my heart. I thank God for the friendships, the growth, the experiences, and the love that constantly pour out of this place, and I can’t wait to see how God continues to change lives through this beautiful ministry.
